Nyren is assumed to be J (but see the note to Hampshire v Kent, 3 September 1787). The spelling of the ground has been modernised: in the 18th century it was Perriam Downs, Luggershall. It is treated as a Hampshire ground, although actually just over the border in Wiltshire.
