Notes
--> Day 2 Lunch: Harrow School (2) 46/4 (Moncreiffe ?*)

No wides delivered! The last unfinished match between Harrow and Eton took place in 1877.
As usual an enormous number of spectators was present including the Duchesses of Edinburgh and Connaught, who were driven on to the ground about 4, and remained till about 6. Mr. Barry in his first innings stayed in till the last man came to the wicket. That no wides should have been delivered in a school match and in one partly played in mud and slush is remarkable.
This most interesting and exciting match was totally spoiled by the dreadful weather on Saturday when heavy storms of rain flooded the ground. Friday, though dull and cloudy, was dry but the wickets were heavy and sodden. This was the seventh unfinished match between these two schools, a fact to be regretted. Harrow this year won the Racquet Cup and at Wimbledon, the Ashburton Shield and Spencer Cup.
Match started at 11.05am (day 1)
