This match was the replay ordered by the Tournament Committee of the match halted the previous week by the poor pitch conditions. One condition of the replay was that both sides had to field the same players and Sebastianites protested that Panadura had changed their team and so the match did not go ahead and following an enquiry the Tournament Committee awarded the match to Sebastianites.
