Lancashire 2nd XI had also won when the two sides met at Grimsby in June. For the winners Heap took 10 wickets in the match for 51 runs, including 7 for 24 in the Lincolnshire second innings. For Lincolnshire, Geeson took 11 wickets in the match for 82 runs, including 7 for 55 in the Lancashire 2nd XI second innings. Hibbert top-scored in the match, his first-innings 43 containing 4 fours. Overnight rain prevented play until after lunch on the second day.
