A shower of rain delayed the re-start after the tea break on the first day
Rain later brought a premature end to the first day's play just after Newcastle Colts had begun their first innings
RD Stewart and GB de Castro added 105 for the third wicket in the Horowhenua first innings
In the Horowhenua second innings RW Trask was caught by Ryan but it is not known which Ryan took the catch
