This return match was drawn, Berkshire having won the match at Thame at the beginning of the month. For Oxfordshire there were 10 fours in A Rogers's 53 not out. Batting eleventh in the order, he and Williams put on 67 runs for the tenth wicket in the visitors' first innings. This was a new high for the season and a new record for the competition, surpassing the 62 runs put on for the tenth wicket by Scriven and F Smith for Northamptonshire v Durham at Northampton in May. In the Berkshire innings, Wells and Barker added 58 runs for the eighth wicket. The innings closed when Finch was hit in the stomach by a ball from Eustace and had to retire hurt.
