Needing in their second innings 57 runs to win after enforcing the follow-on, Glamorgan won this match by 10 wickets shortly before 3.00 pm on the second day. For the winners, there were 16 fours and
6 threes in Jones's 101, which was scored in just 80 minutes, and 15 fours in Geoghegan's 82. In the Glamorgan first innings Jones and Letcher put on 121 runs for the second wicket. It was the second highest partnership for that wicket during the season. Geoghegan and Lambert added 49 runs for last wicket. For the losers, Jenkin top-scored with innings of 42 and 43. Newspaper reports refer to 'the heat being oppressive' on the first day. Cornwall did not qualify for the Championship, playing just two matches during the season -- home and away against Glamorgan -- that counted as championship matches for their opponents.
[Missing: Umpires; extras breakdown; in Glamorgan 1st inns 'twos' in Jones's 101; in Cornwall 1st inns fall of 6th wicket; in Cornwall 2nd inns fall of 7th and 9th wickets.]
