Needing 57 runs in their second innings to win in this return match, Wiltshire scored the runs in 40 minutes without losing a wicket by 4.40 pm on the second day. Glamorgan had won the match at Cardiff at the end of July. For Glamorgan, J H Brain top-scored in the match with 48. In the visitors' first innings, W H Brain and Sweet-Escott put on 71 runs for the eighth wicket.
Miller played Wiltshire's highest innings of 46. When bowling Bancroft's wicket in the Glamorgan first innings, Miller achieved the feat of taking his one hundredth wicket in championship matches.
