Staffordshire won this return match by ten wickets on the second day.
The game at the beginning of the month between the two teams at Stoke had also been won by Staffordshire.
On the first day, heavy overnight rain delayed the start until 2.15 pm as a new pitch had to be prepared.
For the winners, Barnes took 10 wickets in the match for 33 runs, including 7 for 18 in the Dorset second innings.
There were 7 fours in Briggs's 62 not out and 9 fours in Hollowood's 59.
For Dorset, Greenhill took 8 wickets in the Staffordshire first innings for 82 runs.
In the Dorset second innings, Williamson was injured and had to retire.
His place behind the wicket was taken by Briggs, and J N Williams fielded as substitute.
Later in the same innings, Mason the umpire, who was standing at square leg, could not avoid a hooked ball by Sewell that hit his head and 'split it open'.
He retired for medical attention and Hartley acted as substitute umpire.
