This card comes from the Minor Counties Research Project - research is continuing on this scorecard which can be expected to change.
Staffordshire won by 165 runs at 3.50 pm on the second day. For the winners, Barnes and Mee bowled unchanged through both innings. Barnes took 13 wickets in the match for 61 runs, including 7 for 26 in the Staffordshire second innings, and Mee 6 for 42.
Barnes's 13 wickets for 61 was statistically the third best match bowling performance of the season. W Brown top-scored for Staffordshire with 44. On the first day, rain prevented play between 3.20 and 4.05 pm, and stopped play half an hour early, thus preventing Staffordshire from starting their second innings.
