Suffolk won by an innings and 243 runs at 1.30 pm on the second day, after enforcing the follow-on. For the winners, there were 3 sixes and 25 fours in debutant Capt F T D Wilson's 183, an innings of 2 hours and 55 minutes. Quaife's 73 contained 5 fours, J F Ireland's 60 9 fours, and Mustard scored 57 not out. In the Suffolk innings, Quaife and F T D Wilson added 148 for the second wicket, and F T D Wilson and J F Ireland 158 for the third.
