For the winners Steeples took 12 wickets in the match for 118 runs, including 7 for 66 in the Devon second innings. There were 6 fours in Silverlock's 63. Orchard was absent hurt in the Devon second innings. J F Orchard injured a knee towards the end of Monmouthshire's second innings and was unable to take any further part in the match.
