won this return match by seven wickets an hour after luncheon on the second day, after requiring 141 runs to win in their second innings with over fours hours to bat. The match between the two sides at Trent Bridge in June had also been won by Nottinghamshire 2nd XI. For the winners, Armstrong's 69 contained 8 fours. Drake top-scored for Yorkshire with 41 not out.
