Cambridgeshire won this return match by an innings and 77 runs after lunch on the second day with Suffolk following-on 276 runs behind. The match between the two sides at Felixstowe earlier in July had been a rain-affected draw. For the winners, there were 16 fours, 5 threes and 15 twos in Ling's 136, an innings of just over 3 hours.
