Glamorgan won by 272 runs during the luncheon interval on the second day when it was found none of the three remaining Carmarthenshire batsmen could bat. For the winners, there were 1 six and 16 fours in Whittington's 107. There were 9 fours in S H Rees's 82 and Bancroft scored 58. In the Glamorgan second innings, Whittington and Bancroft put on 116 runs for the first wicket. Creber and Nash bowled unchanged through both innings, Creber taking 7 wickets and Nash 9 wickets. For the losers, Bowen top-scored with 44. In the Carmarthenshire second innings, three players were absent with B P Rees having a damaged hand, I Evans an injured eye and Bowen not being present on the ground. The Carmarthenshire second innings total of 32 was the third lowest of the season. Rain stopped play on the second day from 11.30am to 12.30pm.
