This match was drawn after rain on the second day stopped play at around 4.00 pm and it was abandoned. The Lincolnshire declaration had set Bedfordshire a victory chase of 230 runs in just under 2½ hours. For Lincolnshire, Thompson carried his bat through the first innings for 68 runs, which included 1 five and 7 fours. Day scored 86 not out. In the Lincolnshire first innings Thompson and Geeson added 55 runs for seventh wicket. In the Bedfordshire first innings Day took 7 wickets for 46 runs.
