Staffordshire, in the second leg of its Northern tour, won by an innings and 164 runs. For the winners S F Barnes scored 136 which contained 1 six and 16 fours and he took match figures of 17-83 including 9 for 37 in the first innings and 8 for 46 in the second. This is the best all-round performance in a match in Minor Counties history. Bucknell scored 57 including 7 fours and with Vost added 88 for the eighth wicket, a county record for Staffordshire.
