Bedfordshire won this match by nine wickets shortly before 6.00 pm on the second day, after Suffolk followed on 210 runs behind on first innings. In their second innings, Bedfordshire required 33 runs to win in 30 minutes. For the winners, there were 8 fours in Morcom's 59. Graham scored 56 not out, and Apthorp 54 which included 6 fours. For the visitors, there were 7 fours in Raynor's 70. In the Suffolk second innings, Raynor and Lang added 82 runs for the eighth wicket. During the Suffolk second innings, Holdstock hurt his knee when trying to catch Raynor and left the field, returning after the tea interval. The gate receipts amounted to over £13.
